This is the news about ICHS’s current location. For many years, a long time ICHS supporter has very generously donated the land and building to ICHS at a low rental fee. The current economic conditions have adversely affected this support and, as a result, the supporter is no longer able to continue with this generous donation. The ICHS Board of Directors has been aware that the possibility existed that our present location would come up for sale and has already been exploring options for the shelter. Please be assured that they will continue to work hard in the upcoming weeks to identify viable options including either purchasing the current site or exploring other suitable locations for the shelter. We are confident that the shelter will be able to continue to provide the services for Iowa County animals and citizens that come to us for assistance and are committed to finding a long term location for the organization’s home.
