That's right, after receiving approval at the Dodgeville City Council meeting on August 17th, it is official-- the Iowa County Humane Society is relocating! If you have been watching the website you know that we need to vacate our existing location. Our new location is going to be a very positive and major move forward for ICHS. The building is virtually a blank slate so we will be starting from scratch and we are on a tight time frame to complete the move so we are going to need everyone's support to make this transition a reality. | The ICHS is currently over capacity with our animals and donations and adoptions are both down. We are in need of donated supplies. If you can help please check the wish list under the How you can Help tab. Any help is always greatly appreciated. We are especially in need of cat litter, bleach, cleaning supplies and canned dog and cat food. Also we can always use volunteers to help out with upcoming fundraisers and at the shelter. Thank you for all the help we receive from our great community of supporters. We couldn't do it without you! | ||

| Thursday, September 2, 2010 Starting time is 4:30 pm. at the Iowa County Fairgrounds in front of the grandstand. Come out and watch the 4-H kids compete in the fast competition of AGILITY. Dog agility is a sport in which handlers direct their dogs over a timed obstacle course. The goal is to run the course for the best time and no faults. It’s like a horse steeplechase but for dogs! This is great fun for both dogs and people! There will also be some ICHS dogs competing—these are great dogs that are looking for their forever homes. This is an exciting and fun show to watch. Come cheer a dog on. Come out and support our 4-H kids. Come and find your next forever friend! |
