Dear ICHS, Just wanted to let you know the little black dog we adopted from you (Sassy) has become a valued member of our family. She is sweet, loving, and SO funny! She is a companion for our little poodle Cooper- and we are so glad we have her. I'm enclosing a picture of her with her favorite toy. We also changed her name to Lucy.

Thanks, -Elaine

Hi, Just a note to let you know that we love Zelda very much. As you can see from the pictures she has her own chair and we put carpeted shelves in the windows for her to sit on. The kitchen window faces the road and the living room window faces the back yard. She loves watching the birds and squirrels. She sleeps on the bed with us. She is always waiting at the door when we get home from work to get her daily dose of pets and cuddles. She loves to be loved and we really do love her. She seems really happy here.

Thank you so much for letting us have her.
Carolyn

ICHS Hi, Just wanted to give you an update on how my new home is. I was adopted a little over 2 weeks ago, by a great family that just loves me and I love them too. I have a wonderful playmate named Max, he helped me to over come a problem I had with other dogs in my face. I have lots of toys and my favorite is my rope. We play and run in a big back yard, They have even taught me to shake. I really like bedtime because I get to sleep in a nice soft bed with my new owners. I go everywhere with my new family. They are so much fun. I have found the perfect home with the greatest family.

Thanks to everyone. Scooby

Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that Hannah is doing GREAT. My parents couldn't be happier with her. She sleeps in their bed and is always talking to them, and is very good with her small grandchildren. My mom is convinced this cat was waiting for her. Hannah is wonderful! Thanks for the help of introducing her to us. Lori & my mother Barb
Hello Again Everyone!!!!   Remember me, my name is Dugan. Dugan Z. Dawg, that is!!! I live in Jonesdale now and really like riding in the mule for fun. Sometimes I help cut wood, (see the chain saw) and sometimes I just hang out and keep my nose to the ground. That of course, is what I really do the best! Well Just wanted to let you know that I really like my new home and that I think they really like me. Thanks for taking care of me until I could find a new home.
Love, -Dugan
HOLA! My name is Lilli. I was Born in a garage in Iowa County along with my two sisters. My foster mother, Alecia, took car of all of us for quite some time. Her mother, Sally, then adopted ME! My mother and two siblings have found wonderful homes also. I now live in Appleton with my "wicked step-mother" Kittie, who is learning to appreciate and like me (how could she NOT?!)
I love my new home and family.
Thanks Iowa County! Love Lilli

Hello Everyone! My name is Tweeker and a wonderful couple adopted me at the end of August 2003. They introduced me to my new "sister". She is a Siberian Husky named Onyx, who just turned a year old. We run and play in our huge backyard. We have so much fun running and playing; I also love to bark at squirrels! I get to sleep wherever I want to (bed and couch)!

My new mom and dad give me treats; two of my favorites are lettuce and apples!! I know that sounds odd for a dog, but I will do anything for those! My mom likes to take me to see my "brothers" and my boyfriend. They all live at my grandma's house (owners mom.) We run, play, and just like to hang out in the yard. I am so in love with my boyfriend, he is a Cairn Terrier and looks a lot I mean alot like me! It's really cute, as you can see by the picture I sent of us. We snuggle and I love to give him "Doggie Kisses" . We are inseparable.

I am so grateful for my new home! I just thought I would send you all a not to let you know how I am doing. I would like to thank everyone who helped take care of me over the years. Thanks for allowing these wonderful people adopt me! They really know how to spoil a dog!

Thanks again,Wags and Kisses -Tweeker

Hello! This past spring ICHS allowed me to foster Sweetie and her kittens. She arrived at the Vet School to be spayed, but instead she surprised everyone by having kittens the weekend before surgery. The foster care experience was wonderful but a little "tough" since she became severely ill, and one of her kittens died of seizures. Sweetie was very ill for 2 weeks and we had no idea if she would pull through, but she did.

Sweetie is the cat sitting on the cat tree, and her kitten is the one lying on the bed. Both are very spoiled and now live in very loving homes.

Thanks for all the experiences. I have learned so very, very much!!!
-Nancy

Hello! I just wanted to let you know about the little dog I adopted from you in January. She is now a celebrity as you can see from the enclosed picture. Every 4th of July in Mt. Horeb, My daughter and I decorate wagons and bikes for my granddaughters to ride in the parade. This year, my daughter made a costume for Daisy, and she marched along in the parade with all the kids. When a photographer for the Mt. Horeb paper took her picture, I told her to make sure to mention that Daisy came from the Humane Society in Dodgeville. One of the reasons I got Daisy was so my Boxer, Lizzie, would have a companion and play pal. They get along like Mutt and Jeff and have the most wonderful time running and playing in the backyard.

I have to say that Daisy is the sweetest natured dog ever.....Everyone she meets loves her and wants a dog just like her. I always tell them to contact the Humane Society in Dodgeville!!!

Thank you for my wonderful little dog!!! -Dolly
