As an employee of the Iowa County Humane Society, you will be an important part of our team of dedicated staff who help give over 600 animals each year a chance for a new life in a loving home. If you have a passion for animals and their welfare, possess a positive, upbeat attitude and are a team player, you could be part of the ICHS mission of giving every animal the chance that it deserves!!

Current job openings:

Kennel Assistant: Get down and dirty in the most critical place in our shelter—the animal care area!! This is a hands-on position providing daily care for our dogs and cats. You’ll get plenty of purrs and licks while walking dogs, cleaning kennels/cages and providing essential, loving care to the animal residents here at ICHS. Hours are: Tuesdays thru Saturdays 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

We work every day including holidays and bad weather days so reliable transportation and an ability to be at work when scheduled is necessary.
