“Holiday Act of Kindness Lasts All Year”

Instead of a gift exchange between students for Christmas this year, the second grade classes of Mr. Brett Maxwell and Miss Sheila Burris from the River Valley School District of Spring Green, brought in money they would normally spend on a gift. Rather than buying a teacher gift, Mr. Maxwell and Miss Burris gave the option to bring in money instead of buying a gift for them, too. All the money that was collected ($180.00) was given to ICHS along with these messages from the students:

I want the animals to have a very Merry Christmas, too.
I hope the money we collected in enough to buy food.
I want the animals to know they were thought about.
I love animals and wanted them to be happy.
The animals can’t ask for help, so here is some money.
I love animals. I hope we helped.

Thanks to the efforts of these young animal lovers, the pets at ICHS had a much merrier Christmas. We would like to applaud and thank these young people and their teachers for showing all of us the true meaning of Christmas and to remind us all that acts of kindness can happen all year long!!!

Patented Kuranda Dog Beds We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort.
