11th Annual Silent Auction “Fun”-Raiser!

All types of items are welcome, including donated items, services (lawn mowing, babysitting, painting or home improvement), or gift certificates to local businesses. Popular baskets/items in the past have been
- Holiday themed baskets (fun items for Thanksgiving or Christmas)
- Food-themed baskets - chocolate lovers, Italian night (nice pasta pot and strainer, pasta, specialty sauces, etc) or other themed meals
- Local Wisconsin beer sampler baskets
- Packer or Badger themed items
- Gardening baskets
- Hotel/getaway gift certificates
Please note that the items must be new and good quality. All donations are tax deductible. Unfortunately, we cannot accept “garage sale” type items. Items can be dropped off at the ICHS or by contacting Carrie (608-930-0883).

10th Annual Silent Auction “Fun”-Raiser
The 10th annual Silent Auction was a huge success. With everyone’s support,
we raised about $5500! Although we had 25-30 fewer people attending the auction,
everyone was very generous. The pancake breakfast raised over $400 and was
a huge help too!
Please let us know if you have any feedback. We did hold the auction two weeks later than normal this year, and we are considering the best date for next year. We appreciate your input. e-mail: auction@ichs.net
Other fun facts:
- Approximately 115 baskets were available for bidding this year
- The most bids on a basket was 25 (Refreshments metal basket with Capital Brewery beer, three flavors of Cherith Valley Gardens barbeque sauce, Cherith Valley Gardens salsa, chips, and Longaberger woodcrafts cutting board). This was our highest number of bids ever!
- Ten other baskets had 10 or more bids. People were really getting into the bidding, which was a lot of fun!
- 50 people participated in the online bidding. This was a great result and we are looking forward to doing it again next year!

making the 2009 Silent Auction fundraiser a success. Special thanks to:

generosity and support. We could never accomplish this without each and every
one of you. Hopefully you know how much we appreciate your support. If the
shelter residents could speak, each of them (all 40 dogs and 120 cats) would
agree!
